Tegoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker, functioning as a reversible, orally active, and highly selective inhibitor of gastric H+/K+-ATPase. It inhibits gastric acid secretion and motility with in vitro IC50 values ranging from 0.29-0.52 μM. This compound has demonstrated the ability to significantly improve colitis and enhance intestinal epithelial barrier function in mice.
